Pilgrim Hats

Thanksgiving is full of tradition, but there are a lot of good recipes which can spice up the holiday -- one is this adorable pilgrim hat recipe from Woman's Day magazine. This recipe only has three ingredients, is easy to make and is a perfect individual dessert for the Thanksgiving season.

You can also check out the candy turkeys that Becky guest blogged earlier in the week.

Ingredients:
-16 chocolate wafer cookies (such as Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers)
-1 tube orange frosting with piping tips (I couldn't find orange frosting, so I used white)
-16 small peanut butter cups

Lay the cookies on a flat surface.
Pipe a dollop of frosting onto the center of each cookie.
Press a peanut butter cup upside down onto each dollop of frosting.
All of your cookies should be covered.
Pipe a ring of frosting around the peanut butter cup and then draw a buckle.
The chocolate wafers were kind of bitter, it might be better to get a flat cookie that is chocolate covered to make the brim of the hat. When the frosting, the cookie and the peanut butter cup combined this dessert was delicious. They're also super cute to look at, I highly recommend this dessert for November!
