Happy National Grilled Cheese Day! Becky and I are grilling up four great grilled cheese recipes for the month of April, you can find the first one, Becky's Green Grilled Cheese, here. There are two more coming this month so make sure to check back!
This recipe is adapted from from BS in the Kitchen.
-Loaf of French Bread
-1 Tbsp Sour Cream
-2 Tbsp Salsa
-1 Green Onion Stalk (chopped)
-1 Tomato (sliced)
-1-2 Handful Nacho Flavored Doritos (crumbled)
|Spread you favorite salsa on the bottom of each sandwich.|
|Top with sliced cheese.|
And any additional toppings.
|Top each sandwich with the other bread.|
Spread each slice with butter, grill until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
|Top with additional green onions, serve with sour cream.|
|Make as many as you'd like to make, I made about nine sliders.|
These were a big hit in my house, the flavors went really well together and the hint of Doritos on the inside of the sandwich was a perfect addition. These were great because any filling that you want could be added. These were also really quick to put together and with the griddle it was incredibly easy to make all of the sandwiches at once.
