The Munchies



This sandwich has everything -- a little heat, a little crunch and a lot of cheese. My recommendation is to serve this with tequila -- margarita mix and triple sec are optional.

A Vegetarian & Cooking! original. 

Ingredients: 
-2 slices of Italian Bread
-2 slices of cheddar cheese
-Monterey Jack Queso
-1 jalapeno, sliced
-Cheetos, handful 

Gather all of your ingredients. 


To build the sandwich:
Layer one slice of cheddar, a smear of queso, jalepenos, cheetos,  and another slice of cheddar.

Sandwich this all between the two pieces of bread. 

Melt butter in a skillet and toast until the sandwich  is golden brown on each side and the cheddar is melted. 

Serve. 



I enjoyed this sandwich. I think the combination of cheddar cheese and queso was a nice choice. The jalapenos added a good amount of heat, especially coupled with the heat from the peppers in the queso. The cheetos did not stay as crunchy as I would have liked, but they added additional texture to the sandwich.
