Red, White and Blue Cheesecake Smoothie

Happy 4th of July, enjoy your day celebrating all of the wonderful freedoms we have in this country. This recipe is a little indulgent, but it's summer and it's the season to be a little bold.

A Vegetarian & Cooking! original.

Ingredients:
-1/2 cup frozen strawberries
-1/2 cup milk
-4 tbsp. cream cheese
-Handful of ice cubes
-Whipped topping
-Blueberries
-Raspberries
-Crushed graham cracker for rim of glass, optional

1.) Add the frozen strawberries, milk, cream cheese, ice and a few tablespoons of whipped topping into a blender.
2.) Blend until smooth. Rim a glass with crushed graham cracker if you'd like. Then enjoy garnished with raspberries, blueberries and whipped topping.
3.) This will make enough to served heaped in one martini glass.

Dave and I both enjoyed this smoothie, it had good flavor and was reminiscent of strawberry cheesecake. I think the red, white and blue stood out clearly enough for this to be served on the 4th of July. Maybe as a brunch-type snack? Especially if, like me, you have today off from work. Have fun celebrating, be safe!
