Coconut Margarita

Coming up with cool cocktails has become a staple of our game nights, although I will be transitioning into more fall-esque drinks, this coconut margarita is one last drink for summer.

Recipe from Gimme Some Oven.

Ingredients:
Coconut Ice Cubes:
-1/2 cup coconut water
-1/2 cup coconut milk

Rim Garnish
:
-lime wedges
-sweetened shredded coconut

Coconut Margarita Ingredients
-1/2 cup tequila
-1/3 cup freshly-squeezed lime juice
-3 tablespoons freshly-squeezed orange juice
-coconut ice cubes, see above

Mix together the coconut water and milk and freeze into ice cubes.

In a blender combine the ice cubes, tequila, lime juice, orange juice and blend until smooth. If your drink needs sweetened add some simple syrup or sugar. Garnish the glass with coconut flakes and a lime wedge.

This would have been good with some triple sec added instead of orange juice. We made this drink in two batches and added a little too much tequila to the first batch so it was pretty strong. The flavors overall were good. If we had added more ice, less tequila and a little simple syrup it would have been the perfect mix.
