Adult Rootbeer Floats

Not Your Father's Root Beer is an alcoholic beverage which has gained popularity lately -- it tastes just like root beer with no alcohol after taste. Dave and I enjoy these on occasion, so when I saw this grown-up root beet float on Pinterest, I thought it would be fun to try.

Recipe from My Baking Addiction.

Ingredients:
-1 pint quality vanilla bean ice cream
-2 12-ounce bottles of Not Your Father's Root Beer
-whipped cream
-chocolate syrup

Scoop 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream into each of the 4 frosty mugs. Add enough root beer to fill each mug. If desired, top with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup (mine kept sinking down into the mug, but it's there). Serve immediately.

Yum. The Not Your Father's Rootbeer doesn't have a high alcohol volume, but if you drink enough of it, the alcohol will sneak up on you. It was fun to try a more grown-up twist on a classic dessert and a nice way to end an evening.
