Meet Alecia


I started this blog three years ago and it is currently my main hobby (or if you ask my boyfriend, the blog is essentially my part-time job).  I do have a traditional full-time job, but overall this blog helps me maintain my sanity.  I always know that going into the kitchen will make everything better. 




I am a foodie. People ask me for my opinion on recipes or restaurants and text me when they've put together a cool recipe.

A great girls' night out for me includes a cool new restaurant and a bar with handcrafted cocktails -- there are so many places that I love in Northeast Ohio. Whenever I find somewhere cool in my travels I always try to adapt one of those recipes in my kitchen to post here.

A perfect date night for me is putting together a huge meal with my significant other, the more hands-on, the better. Trust me, nothing is sexier than a man who can cook (and he automatically earns bonus points for homemade pasta). I love to go to the grocery store and to farmer's markets. I am constantly looking for new inspiration online, in magazines and on Food Network.



Vegetarian & Cooking! combines my passions of photography, writing and cooking. I love to test new recipes with my family (my parents and two brothers are great food critics!) and with my boyfriend Dave. I currently post daily.
